The owner and creative heart of The Girl Who Cried Wolfe, Joanna, loves immersing herself in planning and executing beautiful events.
Our story
With a background of 13 years in fashion buying, Joanna discovered that she had a strong passion for styling while planning her own wedding. Her desire not to return to a 9-to-5 job and to have a greater level of flexibility while being a new mum led to Joanna launching her styling and events business ‘The Girl Who Cried Wolfe’ in October 2017.
Since its inception, Joanna has styled hundreds of events including weddings, elopements, garden parties, milestone birthdays, baby showers, hens gatherings and luxury picnics, not to mention branding and content creation for some of Australia’s biggest homewares brands. In addition to weddings and events for special occasions, the business has a proven track record in creating stunning events for premium brands & at Australian Fashion week.
A proven perfectionist with a keen eye for detail, Jo will go above and beyond to create something truly magical for your special event.
Along with her love of styling and creating beautiful tables. Joanna has a strong passion for executing gorgeous floral arrangements. Constantly upskilling and learning, Joanna loves to work with fresh seasonal florals and create arrangements that have a soft, dreamy feel. All florals Joanna uses are sourced from premium flower markets and growers. Wherever possible, she chooses sustainable Australian grown seasonal flowers.
“The magic that beautiful florals can bring to your wedding or event makes them one of the most important elements. Florals have the ability to elevate the atmosphere and compliment your venue like nothing else.”

“When I owned and ran We Are Kindred, we put on incredible fashion shows during Australian Fashion Week each year. In 2021, we teamed up with Jo from The Girl Who Cried Wolfe. I had seen her incredible work on socials and was thrilled to work with her. She helped bring our vision to life. Her innate sense of style and ability to work under stressful conditions (bump in and out are incredibly tight during fashion week) made the process seamless. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking at holding an event, large or small. The Girl Who Cried Wolfe will leave guests overjoyed at the sheer beauty.”
